Monopoly Tournament

So, we had our annual Monopoly Tournament for Chris' work last night. It is actually a night for the Adoption Exchange Charity, but they play Monopoly afterwards. Chris had a few extra tickets, so my brother, Sam, even got to come with us. It was the first time we left Porter with a babysitter. I felt okay about it because they were these friends from our ward. But the kids did fine. Anyways, it was a fun night. It was a yummy dinner and dessert and then Monopoly time. All three of us ended up playing on the same table, which was both good and bad. We practiced the Sunday before. Lame, huh. Anyways, that Sunday I killed them! Badly! I beat them so fast it was great! Well, last night wasn't the same. Sam beat us all. Chris went bankrupt and the game was over. Sam took 3rd place overall. Way to go! We had a great time, but no more Monopoly for awhile. Oh, I forgot to add. You get a key to see if it unlocks the Community Chest that has a nice watch or diamond ring in it, or something like that. Didn't win again this year. I'm still hoping one of these days...

Children's Museum

Last week Chris and I took the kids to the Lied Children's Museum here in Las Vegas. It was real fun, and the kids had a blast. There was so much for them to do. There was a Clifford section which they enjoyed a ton. There was also a wind machine, bubble making, pretend jobs, and so much more. Here they are playing.

They love Clifford, the Big Red Dog...

Taking our order...Flying the airplane, just like Uncle Sam...

Peyton hard at work...So cute!
Our kids, the mechanics...

Kylie and me in the wind machine. It got up to 75 mph. It was real fun.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Kylie woke up this morning like it was Christmas, saying so excited, "Happy St. Patrick's Day!" So, of course, I had fun with green food coloring. For breakfast we had green yogurt, green milk, and green apples. Kylie then went to preschool for some St. Patty's Day fun. Later, we made green sugar cookies. I printed the kids some Leprechaun pictures to color. And for dinner we had green grapes, green pancakes, and green milk, again. The kids had so much fun, and think this is such a great holiday. But I'm sure they don't really know what it's all about. I don't really. :) Anyways, here's our fun day.

Peyton loving his green milk...he drank and drank and drank...needless to say he had to go potty several times today...
Kylie loving her green yogurt...
Our green dinner...notice Porter in the swing. He FINALLY calmed down for me right before dinner. He had a rough day...

Our green family...

Our family being silly. I'm sad it didn't turn out, it's all fuzzy, I don't know why, but it's still funny and cute...

Hope you all had a fun and silly St. Patrick's Day!!!

Porter's blessing

We had a great time with Porter’s blessing. My Mom and Dad spent Thursday night till Sunday night with us. It was SO great to have them here. We did a lot of cooking, playing, and having fun. We took them to Bass Pro Shops where we watched a swimmer feed the fish and stingrays. Kylie and Peyton enjoyed the mermaid swimming around and blowing them kisses. We saw tons of stuffed animals, even a real stuffed giraffe. The kids also enjoyed pretending to drive a boat. Chris’ sister, Jen, and her family joined us Saturday, which was lots of fun. Then the rest of his family (Michele, Brad, Brandon, Cody, Megan, Grandma and Grandpa Jorgensen, and a few of his uncles and family) came for a couple hours on Sunday. It was great to have lots of visitors.

It was so nice to have great support for Porter’s blessing. Porter looked so cute in his special white outfit. He wore the same outfit as Peyton did for his blessing, but it was a little tighter on Porter. :) Chris did a great job with the blessing and we will cherish the words spoken to Porter. We were thankful for all those worthy priesthood holders who could join in. It was special. Then we all headed to our house to visit and eat food. We had Hawaiian Haystacks, homemade rolls, and other stuff, which turned out great. We fed 19 adults and I must say that I was proud of myself. Thanks Mom! It was great chatting with everyone and being together. Sunday was such a special special day and we’ll never forget it.
Here's some pictures...

Valentine's...

Here is our Valentine cookie decorating...

Chris and Peyton left for a few days to go watch his little brother wrestle in the state tournament. Kylie, Porter, and I stayed here. We had some fun. For breakfast on Valentine's Day we had pink milk, toast in the shape of hearts with red jam, and red eggs that actually ended up being orange eggs (red + yellow eggs = orange). :)

Kylie got to help feed Porter for the first time. She was such a good helper.

I love this picture! Gotta love his hair!!!

Kylie and church

Kylie gave a talk in Primary this past Sunday. She was so excited and did so well. She really did know the words by herself, but wanted me to come up there for reassurance. :) I found this song on the internet thinking I was clever and that it was from awhile ago. I then changed the words and shortened it. Yesterday we were in the car driving to Smith's and listening to the 2009 primary songs and on came that song! I guess I wasn't so clever after all. It is part of the 2009 songs for this year. But I do have to give us credit because we did change it a lot. Kylie liked coloring the pictures for it.

Kylie loves this song from Primary. She says it is her new favorite song.
