Our kids...

Kylie received the "Distinguished Dragon Award" for her Kindergarten class. Only a couple students received the award. We are so proud of Kylie. She is such a good student...smart, kind, caring, helpful, and loving. We love you Kylie!

Peyton turned 4 years old! He was so excited. He had a fun birthday! Kylie helped give Peyton this big Buzz Lightyear.
Hugs and thanks for the present...

Peyton loves playing with his Star Wars toys...

Peyton chose McDonald's to eat dinner at. At least the one we go to is clean, has leather seats and couches, a huge fishtank, and hardly anyone is there. That's good!!! They loved getting Happy Meals.

Porter loved his hamburger. :)

Peyton then chose Chuck-E-Cheese's to eat his cake at. Smart boy...McDonald's AND Chuck-E-Cheese. He asked for a Toy Story cake AND a chocolate chip cookie cake. :) He was so excited that he blew the candles out before we could sing. He had a fun birthday! We love you Peyton!!!

Sweet Kylie...

Finally updated

So my good friend, no names, cough cough Michelle cough cough, said that I am a blog slacker! She doesn't like looking at my beautiful family on Valentine's Day forever. So, I am trying to please her and switch it up a bit. :)

We enjoyed Easter. We went to 2 Easter egg hunts. At first Porter didn't know what to do. So, whatever he picked up he threw. I snuck a few extra eggs in his basket for him. The other egg hunt he was starting to figure it out. We had a good time together as a family.

We got our backyard complete! Yeah! We love it. We luckily had some landscapers come and do it...totally worth it. They completed it in only 2 weeks. We love our patio, patio cover, grass, playground area, and everything. The kids love it. Porter loves to wander around and be free in the backyard.

While the backyard was getting done...

Cute Dennis kids with our finished backyard...

My brother, Sam, got back from serving in Afghanistan. We got to pick him up from the airport. We were all very excited to see him. Thanks for serving Sam!

Peyton waiting so patiently for Sam to come...

Welcome home Uncle Sam...

Kylie took this picture... :)

Porter playing with Sam again...

Chris and I did a half marathon together. Our time was 1 hour 49 minutes. This was our first one that we were able to run together. I know for a fact my time would have been a lot slower if Chris weren't there to push me. We had a good time. And thanks Sam for watching the kids. ;)
Before the race...

After the race...still happy. :)

Sam took Chris and I to the show Le Reve. It was awesome. There is water for the stage, and the show is just so cool to watch. Here's us at the show...

The weather is so nice here. We have enjoyed playing at the park, playing in the backyard, going to the library, taking walks, and we even broke out the swimsuits for the splashpark today. Hopefully I'll update our blog sooner than Christmas. :)

Christmas and December

The kids and I flew to Utah, while Chris stayed for a few more days for work. We enjoyed flying on the airplane. I enjoyed going to the Jazz game with my Dad, even though they lost by 2. The kids definitely loved playing in the snow. Peyton said, “This is the BEST snow ever!” The funny thing was that there was hardly any snow left and it was yucky and melting, but he hardly ever sees snow, so he still thought it was the best. So cute! We had a fun time building a snowman, playing, and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. We liked going to Temple Square to see the lights, but Kylie and Peyton were more curious about the snow and holding the snow than seeing the lights.
Us and our snowman we built with "The best snow!"
Grandma and Grandpa Nelson and the kids at Temple Square...

Later Chris drove up and met up with us and we went to his families house. His whole family was there for his brother, Brandon’s wedding, so it was nice. All the adults went to a temple session for his other brother, Cody, going through for his first time for his mission (by the way, he got called to Guatemala). His sister, Megan, watched all 7 grandkids and they all survived. We had family pictures, family party, playing with all the cousins, and Brandon’s wedding. It was a packed weekend, but nice to spend it together.

I love how Peyton loves his new jammies. He cuddles up to us and things like this, I love it!
Me and Kylie...

Porter turned 1-year-old. We were at Chris' brother, Brandon’s wedding all day, so after the busy day, we were able to give him a cake, and he loved it! We opened up some presents later when we got home, which Kylie and Peyton were way more interested in than he was. Porter sure is growing up, likes to play with his cars, says words like, “Mama, Dada, Jesus, What’s that, vroom,” and still loves smiling and laughing. In fact, he thinks it is super funny when he toots, tries to toot some more, and continues laughing because of that.

Porter loved his cake...

I snuck this outfit on Porter to see what Chris would say when he got home. Chris said, "Get that thing off!"
LOVE this picture!!!

We had a great Christmastime. Christmas Eve we made sugar cookies for Santa, played the Nativity Scene, read Christmas stories, sang some songs, and got super excited for Santa to come. Sure enough, when we woke up he had come to our house because we had been good girls and boys all year. Kylie was excited to open her Gabriella Barbie that Santa brought, and happy to see that Troy came with it even though she didn’t ask for that. Peyton loved his Transformer mask and costume from Santa. Porter didn’t care too much that Santa brought him new sippy cups, but still was smiling all day. The kids have enjoyed their new presents, clothes, toys, and especially games. They love playing Spiderman Yahtzee, Sequence for Kids, and Book of Mormon Bingo. We had a nice time just being together as a family, that was the best part (and seeing the kids open their presents, that is always so fun!).

All dressed up for the Nativity Scene. Kylie wanted to be Mary, Peyton wanted to be Joseph, and they made me the angel, Chris a wiseman, and Porter as Baby Jesus...

The Dennis Family, Christmas morning...

Kylie loves her new super fast bike and all her presents...

Transformer Peyton. He loves the gift from Santa!

Peyton loves the new gloves that Chris and I gave him...(and notice there are 2, so he can share with Kylie and later Porter with no fighting) ;)

Porter loved Christmas and much as he can. He was all smiles!

Silly faces from us all. Love how Porter is looking like an elf...

WE HAD A FUN DECEMBER AND HOLIDAY TIME!
