January

Here is a recap of what we did in January. I know some of it is repetitive from before, but "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit," according to Kylie. :)

JANUARY
This month has been about adjusting to the life of 3 kids. Actually, we have done pretty well. Porter is getting big. He enjoys milk :) , the kids, mom and dad, sleeping, and his swing (which we borrowed from our friend and he loves it…we should have gotten one like that with the other two kids).

Kylie and Peyton have done real well with Porter. They don’t get jealous, and they are good helpers, too. Peyton got potty trained this month. Yeah! He came to me one morning and said, “Mom, I don’t want diapers anymore.” And then he was trained, with only a couple accidents here and there. Such a big boy! Kylie is still enjoying preschool. She loves doing her homework and reading her books. It is so fun to listen to her read. Her teacher comments on how well she is doing and how fast she picks up on things. Kylie also started piano lessons. She has been begging me for awhile now. She comes to lessons and I am her teacher, not her mom. :) She loves learning songs and getting a treat at the end.

We got our Christmas present put in from Santa…a DVD player for the car. The kids actually haven’t ever used it, we say it is for trips. They don’t mind at all, and will be excited when a trip comes. We’ll let them use it soon, though. :)

I had to get back in the swing of things for church quickly and we had one of our big enrichments. We did 72 hour kits and it went real well.

Chris has enjoyed working out. He works out for an hour each day at the gym. He has lost about 45-50 pounds, and is focusing on building muscle now. None of his clothes fit anymore. His old pants slip on and off without even unbuttoning them. So he is getting a new wardrobe. He is looking good!

Not a lot of news from us this month. We have just been adjusting and loving our new family. Hope you have a good Valentine’s Day.

you are so lucky your little guy wanted to potty train himself, I read this book that said a very few lucky parents have this happen! I didnt know your husband lost so much! My husband lost 85 lbs a few years ago through weight watchers, he has kept it off by doing triathlons & biking. Congrats to your husband!

I bet Kylie will be just as good at the piano as you are! that is great that you can teach her. Remember when you would try to teach me? I was a lost cause. You are lucky to have such a great talent!!

Good to hear from you! I've been hoping the transition to three kids has gone smoothly! Sounds like things are going well. Congrats to Kylie on the cute Primary talk, and I'm very impressed you're starting piano with her so young! Wow! She'll be a concert pianist by age 10! ;) You are such a good mom!
