Last Monday we went up to Mount Charleston, which is only about 1 hour away, and went on a hike with the kids. We had never been there before, but we loved it, and will hopefully go back again soon. Peyton carried a stick, actually 3 sticks the whole hike. Porter got carried (the way I would like to hike), and Kylie loved playing red light, green light on the hike. There were a lot of dogs on the hike, and for some reason our kids are so scared of dogs, but they finally got the hang of it and would get to the side when another dog would come.
It felt like a whole other world from Las Vegas. Tons of trees, smelling the woods, it was great.

Hard to believe you are by Las Vegas! Sounds fun! Does Porter ever frown?! Did you keep the sticks? :) Luv ya all!
Yes, Michele, it was WAY fun. We might even go camping this weekend. Porter never frowns if he is being held, outside, and all that good stuff. However, if I leave the room, that is another story. Kylie kept her stick. Peyton had been dying to keep his sticks and I said he could. Then he went to the bathroom with Chris, and they are probably still in the bathroom. I blame Chris. :) So when we got home, I hid Kylie's stick so Peyton wouldn't be sad. No one has said anything about sticks. :)
