Peyton turned 3! He had loads of fun. Chris and I got him a Batcave for his birthday and he hasn't stopped playing with it since. It's like a superhero's castle. He loves it! He also had a Superman birthday party. It was lots of fun with his friends there. They started out coloring S's and making capes. Then they played musical superman, just like musical chairs. They played something like pin the tail on the donkey, but with Spiderman. And last but not least, there was a Superman pinata. First Superman came flying down from our upstairs hallway. Then each kid had a turn at the pinata. Now they have strings to pull instead of hitting it with a bat...great idea! We ate Superman cake, and had lots of fun. Peyton sure loves Superman and all the superhero's so he is still in heaven. He still says he is still having his party again. Here's lots of pictures from his birthday. We sure do love you Peyton. Glad you are part of our family.

Riding bikes
The kids have loved riding bikes now that it is real great weather. They want to ride every single day. Peyton usually rides his scooter, and Kylie rides her Princess bike. They love it. Here is just a sample of the fun they have.

Chris' 10 miler
Last weekend Chris ran in the Mesquite Easter 10 mile run. We decided to stay overnight and watch him run his almost half marathon. Well, we got to our hotel, which happened to be less than a half mile away from the race, and they said they didn't have our reservation. We showed them our confirmation number, and they said that wasn't right. The internet company messed us up! Well, there wasn't any more rooms available there, and can you believe it, but there wasn't a single room available in Mesquite! So, we had to go to St. George and wake up early and drive back to Mesquite. If we would have known that we would have just traveled from our house in Vegas. Needless to say, we were very angry with Travelocity and what they did to us. And to think we had such a great time with the $7 hotel just right before. Anyways, enough about the hotel.
Chris did awesome in his race. It was pouring rain on him the ENTIRE time. The kids and I watched from the car and drove around and honked. The kids loved getting out in the rain and yelling, "Go, Dad, Go!" as he would pass by. Anyways, Chris did great. He took 1st in his age division, and 5th overall. 10 miles! Sheesh! The funny thing is is a bit ago he told me he hated running. He said it was boring! And now look at him...running way more than me! Way to go Chris! And he's training for a marathon this summer!!!
Gotta have another hotel sleeping picture, right?! So cute...
And Porter sleeping. Not a good angle because you can't see his face, but he's all bundled up, until the first second he can wiggle himself free when he wakes up.

Primm
On Monday to Tuesday, we took a little family getaway. We took a half hour drive south to Primm, Nevada. My friend, Hilary, told me about a deal in Primm where you can stay at a hotel for $7, and that's including the taxes. On the weekends it is over $100 so this was great! The kids just absolutley LOVE staying at hotels. We walked in and they were like, "Ohh, a bed! Oh, a window!" They get so excited over the little things, which is great. The place was perfect for us and our three kids. The room was long so Porter was far away from the other kids during the night. It was a fun stay, and we'll go back again.
They went swimming. It was too cold and windy to go in the swimming pool, so they went in the hot tub. After they got out, they totally smelled like dirty socks. It was so gross! Of course they showered immediately after.
Pretending to sleep...
Actually asleep...

Easter Egg Hunt
Today we went to an Easter egg hunt in our community. It was real cold (well, for Las Vegas). :) Porter hated it...he hates the wind and the cold! Kylie and Peyton loved it, after getting over being cold from the wind. They got a ton of eggs and prizes and had a blast.

Before the egg hunt...
Kylie usually doesn't like being by characters. However, this time she dragged me over to the Easter Bunny and hugged him for about a whole minute.
Peyton proud of his accomplishment...:)

Monopoly Tournament

So, we had our annual Monopoly Tournament for Chris' work last night. It is actually a night for the Adoption Exchange Charity, but they play Monopoly afterwards. Chris had a few extra tickets, so my brother, Sam, even got to come with us. It was the first time we left Porter with a babysitter. I felt okay about it because they were these friends from our ward. But the kids did fine. Anyways, it was a fun night. It was a yummy dinner and dessert and then Monopoly time. All three of us ended up playing on the same table, which was both good and bad. We practiced the Sunday before. Lame, huh. Anyways, that Sunday I killed them! Badly! I beat them so fast it was great! Well, last night wasn't the same. Sam beat us all. Chris went bankrupt and the game was over. Sam took 3rd place overall. Way to go! We had a great time, but no more Monopoly for awhile. Oh, I forgot to add. You get a key to see if it unlocks the Community Chest that has a nice watch or diamond ring in it, or something like that. Didn't win again this year. I'm still hoping one of these days...

Children's Museum
Last week Chris and I took the kids to the Lied Children's Museum here in Las Vegas. It was real fun, and the kids had a blast. There was so much for them to do. There was a Clifford section which they enjoyed a ton. There was also a wind machine, bubble making, pretend jobs, and so much more. Here they are playing.

They love Clifford, the Big Red Dog...
