Kylie has been asking us to go camping for awhile now. I got the idea from my sister, and I think it is great. We put up the tent in our front room! The kids have loved going in and out of the tent and playing in it. It is way too hot to go real camping right now, but we would like to go sometime before the new baby. The kids would love that. Here they are pretending to sleep, and then concentrating on their "camping water," as they called it.
We also made some smores. Mini-smores. We got toothpicks, mini-marshmellows, and chocolate chips. We stuck the stuff on and lit it by our "campfire," a match. Kylie thought they were great. I thought it was funny and clever. :)

Trains and now camping... you guys know how to have fun!!! Good ideas to keep the kids busy in the house during the summer.
Cute hair too:)
That is my kind of camping. I don't do bugs, hot, sweaty weather, and did I mention bugs? ha ha. It looks like they had a great time. :)
Cute Anna! I'm glad you ended up going "camping". Looks like the kids had a blast. I love your mini smores. Tell Sammy I see him in the back of the picture! :)
i love that you are introducing your kids to indoor "camping"! my mom would argue that this is really the only way to camp! :)
i am so jealous! a favorite past time of mine!!
First of all, I love your new haircut!! You look so cute. I love that style on you....
Secondly, that is MY kind of camping, too!! :o) I just am not a good camper, as hard as I try. I should set up the kids' tent and let them have a camping night, too. They would love it. Hey....is that SAM in the background?? How is he doing?? Is he liking it out there?? You'll have to fill me in. I never hear anything. Jason and I are pretty isolated WAY down here in Lehi. hee hee Anyway, you really do have a cute family and I love reading about the fun things you guys do.
Love the camping idea...maybe Evan and I should try that... :)
So cute...i just love your ideas...so bella is really missing you guys...she constantly asks for kylie and peyton...ha ha.
Your hair is so cute! I'll bet it is nice having it that short with it as hot as it is in Vegas. I love the camping pictures too. Your kids are getting so big!
You are such a great Mom! (And creative too!)
I love real camping but also agree that the desert is not the place to camp in the summer. And your idea is much cooler.
I don't know of too much in Vegas and not sure of what you have already done but I will tell you of a couple things.
Bonnie Springs (up by Red Rock) has a great petting zoo and fun little cowboy town with train rides (weekends only, I believe). They also have horse back riding which was fun for me too.
Buffalo Bills Resort (Primm Valley) has some fun rides and games for kids and adults of all ages. The big roller coaster is probably too scary for the little ones but they have an awesome log boat, water ride with fake guns and targets to shoot at. It's a good time. And they also have some a little ride or two for little ones.
That's all I can come up with at this time. If anything else comes to mind, I will let you know.
Have fun!
