Anna's 5K

So, I haven't ran in a race for a couple of months because of the weather, but it is nicer now (still cold enough to wear tights and long sleeves when running though) and so I registered for the Make a Wish Foundation (Kendall Tenney) 5K in downtown Las Vegas. It was SOOOO fun! The kids and Chris came to cheer me on, and they had tons of booths and music for the kids to enjoy. They even had free Krispy Kreme doughnuts that Chris, Kylie, and Peyton each devoured before the race. I was drooling. But after the race I did sneak one in my tummy. :) I did great. Chris said he only saw like 4 or so women ahead of me. I looked at the results and I did take 5th overall of about 220 women, and 44th overall of over 400 people. But I was so proud of myself. It got me so excited to do another race soon. I'm just too competitive. I want to beat my time. :)

You're awesome Anna. You'll have to train me. Joe and I want to run a 5K when we go to Utah.

That's my Anna! You're amazing! Fifth out of 220?! I would probably be 215 out of 220! (ha-ha) I'm so glad that you keep in shape! You inspire me to try a 5K someday!
