Valentine's

We made some Valentine's sugar cookies (my absolute favorite). The kids got their aprons on and helped out (not so much Peyton, he just wanted to stand on the stool and see what we were doing). They turned out real good and yummy. We used the recipe from Schmidt's Pastry Cottage. I think I, myself, have eaten about 90% of the batch. I don't know how you did it, Kristi, with all that temptation. I would have gone wild every single day. Those are so yummy! I love the picture of these two. Their grins are priceless.

On a sad note, Peyton has been feeling really, really yucky. He got to the point where he was wheezing so bad he couldn't breathe much. The doctor gave him a breathing thing that is like those tubes for asthma. The poor little guy is having a hard time, and we feel so bad for him. It just hurts to see your little boy struggle so much. So, hopefully he will be feeling better soon.

Anna....First of all, your kids are darling. This might sound weird, but I think your daughter looks exactly like you did when you were little....and Peyton looks like Sam a little to me. Is that strange, or have you heard that before?? It's funny....everyone sees different things with kids, huh??
SECONDLY....I love Schmidt's, so you MUST share the cookie recipe!! YUM. I still drive up there to get my cakes and goodies.... LOVE IT.
LASTLY.... I am sooo sorry Peyton has had trouble breathing. We go thru that with our boys, too. They all have asthma...except for Bo and Bella. You know, I'm sure...that Jaxon was hospitalized before for his airway collapsing. Well....it still scares me too death. He has so much scar tissue on his little throat still...so the doctors said he'll get sicker than our other kids...and get illnesses easier, for at least another few years. It's horrible, so I feel your pain on that one. My kids have the little breathing tube, too. It really does work well though, but you're right.... It's just plain sad to have to see your little ones suffer with ANYTHING like that. I'm sorry.... Hopefully it will get lots better though!! You'll have to keep me posted. Take care, and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! Be glad you're not here in Utah right now. We are getting majorly snowed on right now. It's horrible outside...and the roads are even worse. Yikes.... OK, was this a long enough comment?? ha ha Love you!

Cute kids! Kyli'es apron is so cute...did you make it? You'll have to teach me if you did. Sorry Peyton's been so sick. That's got to be no fun. I'll have to give you a call later and talk. I was laying down when you called yesterday so sorry I couldn't talk. Have a fun Valentine's Day!

How fun! Valentines cookie making is the best (well--messy, but fun)! Sorry about Peyton. My Peyton had the same thing happen this week, actually. He got bronchiolitis, which I guess is basically RSV. We had to do the breathing treatment, too. No fun to have sick kids! I agree! Hopefully your Peyton gets feeling better!

Your kids are adorable. I am sorry about your Valentines but once your married with kids, there is no babysitters on Valentines anyways. But hope your St. Pattys day is great.
